Antone Bruinsma contemporary stone sculpture

"Visiting Earth Angel" was created at the International Sculpture Symposium at Beaudesert. It is located at a popular area on top of a mountain where hang gliders take off. The "earth angel" is symbolic of the divine energy of Mother Earth. She is holding a gift of life (the tree) and the wisdom (the fruit) that can be gained from our experiences. The back view of the sculpture shows the partially cloaked wings of the angel.
