These are two of the sculptures in a four piece group called "The Elements" at Main Beach, Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast.

An artist initiated public sculpture project created at Main Beach over a 14 month period. With the assistance of many volunteers from Australia and abroad, four sculptures depicting the characteristics of the elements (Earth, Water, Fire and Air) and how they affect humanity were created on the beach.

They have been voted "most popular public art" by readers of the Gold Coast Bulletin.
